Hi guys, going for my nct test on sunday. Just had the car serviced and alls fine, however the switch for the front electric window is broken. You can still open and close the front passenger side window using the controls on the drivers side. Will this be a problem? Thanks in advance

Your car will fail if you cant open the drivers window.
Passenger window is fine, drivers one isnt

Definite fail. If you had of said it to the lads when servicing it, they would have told you that. It could be the switch, motor or regulator that's gone, which can get pricey unfortunately.

    What he said.

The only window that has to open is the drivers window.

Driver's window needs to open to allow for hand signals, other windows do not need to open. Our car passed recently with a dodgy passenger side window, they can't even have tried it 'cos it wasn't jammed open after the test.

Should have specified. Drivers side window is fine. Passenger side window will open using drivers side controls, but will not open using passenger side controls. Mentioned it to the garage when they serviced it and they thought it was fine. Thanks for all the replies

That will definitely not be an issue so.
