    Hi all

I have been running Internet Download Manager (IDM) successfully for the past year on my laptop (XP) and recently its been giving me the "windows must close IDM due to an error... would you like to report this to Microsoft etc." window.

But this only happens when i go to download a file using IDM.

I have always run Spybot Search & Destroy and i have my AVG and zonealarm up to date... so no viruses or the like.

So... i reinstalled IDM but still the same problem and now its also stating a corrupt registry entry for IDM.

How do i remove all traces of IDM from my laptop registry so i can reinstall a fresh copy of IDM.

P.s. I have tried Registry Mechanic and Reg Cure to solve the problem, but no good.

    Thanks for any info!

"Your Uninstaller" at: http://www.ursoftware.com/ might be able to help.

I'd second that, it seems to do a good job of removing the programme and all traces it leaves behind. I think you can set how intensive the uninstalling process is also...and tis free!
