can anyone tell me the best place to get a battery for a laptop in dublin or online , its a compaq presario c300 , i committed the old mistake of leaving the battery in the computer even though i had it plugged in and now the battery life is only a few minutes .

Crap! You're not meant to leave the battery in when you've the laptop plugged in???:eek: Is that with every laptop? Damn, I suppose if I'd thought about that it would have been obvious:o I've had my laptop for about a month now and been leaving the battery in all the time and I practically have it plugged in any time I'm home...do you think it'll have affected the battery a lot?

I bought an adapter form http://www.laptop-power.co.uk/ in August without any problem. The service was excellent with the adapter arriving on Monday having ordered it the previous Friday. They also sell batteries.

Dell are charging a fortune....any one know anywhere in Dublin or even outside Dublin
