I have a cracked red rear brake light, and was looking into getting a "brake light repair kit" - ie. a transparent red sticker from Halfords.

Anyone ever use one of these kits - is the crack still visible at all?? (I'm very fussy!!)

haven't used these kits, but if its a transparent sticker, it indicates to me you will see the crack through it..

    what car is it for??
    how much is the kit?
how much for a replacement lamp unit??

If you are fussy then the best thing is to is buy a new lens. The skicker will be very obvious & will most likely come away with rain & washing.

I am not sure whether the NCT will accept the sticker. I believe the sticker is designed to be a temporary solution.

They do, their basic principle is there must be no white light showing to the rear. You'll be ok with the red sticker.
