Thats a mobile phone number (it starts with a '7'), so 0044 7873......

You might want to remove the person's number form the internet.

ok thanks. It was only a made up number to use as an example.

If you're ringing a landline that is say 028123456789 you change the 028 to 048

is there not something about using 048 instead of 0044 - cheaper call?

Yeah with 048 it's classed as a national call (i.e. like phoning Dublin from Cork) whereas with the 00 44 it's international.

Shame they can't think of a way for it to work with mobile numbers :P
