Law Student Colloquium

I'm helping to organise a law colloquium in college where undergraduates and postgraduates are invited to submit papers. Last year there were significantly more postgraduate entries and just wondering does anyone have any ideas on how to get more undergraduates to submit papers? We plan to take the usual routes eg emailing all law school heads and sending press release to student papers, but want to spread the word as much as possible. I'd appreciate any comments.

One suggestion might be to motivate them with a prize or something. Usually the main legal publishing houses will be in favour of sponsoring such events.

I have a hatred for publishing houses, they really bring access to the law backwards rather than anything else, but anyway.

I think you should try and require everything be released under a creative commons licence and allow some form of peer review in a real sense (i.e. those who perhaps submit work or who have academic email addresses could rate or comment on the work a-la wikipedia). It might give a certain life to the project... I have been involved in law reviews, and by god the can be dull affairs. :)
