I looked before and didn't find anyone so I travelled up to slanecycles in belfast. They had everything I wanted in stock and I bought my bike there. If I buy another (my dream at the moment is a Scott plasma) I go back there no question.

    I'm 5 10" if thats any help.

Class Bike and a perfect fit, get them to change the saddle though, they are ****e, cheap plastic and I am permantly sliding off the back of it on a very steep climb.

The large in it is VERY big!

    Packed to the rafters!

I have been to their shop perhaps 4-5 times over the past couple of years.

I have only been on the ground floor which is quite small. However they seem to have quite extensive stock - how they work out where everything is I'll never know, and it is difficult to do any "browsing" as there are boxes piled everywhere. The bikes are downstairs, but I do not know how much space they have down there.

Service is excellent. Paul is an ex Irish cycling champion, and he and his brother Andy are both extremely knowledgeable. Their website states they are "the world's friedliest bike shop", and I certainly have no evidence to challenge this.

They are in Andersonstown, and are fairly easily accessible from the M1 on the outskirts of Belfast (there is a map on their website). There is a small parking area in front of the shop.

Downstairs is pretty cool -- Its not unlike the cycleways but with cooler bikes.

Ok they are not in Ireland, but Westbrook should be looked at online also - purely for value.
I got my Addict SL frame from them and service was excellent

    Thanks, must make the trip.
And +1 for "the worlds friendliest bikeshop"

I know this is off topic but I came across a Scott Plasma frame for sale on Adverts.ie....I know know you might have already seen it before or simply are not interested in buying this/one at the moment but I felt I should post up a link just in case, you never know! Haha, good luck. ;)

I don't want to advertise here so I'll just say that we also sell Scott, the only dealer in the republic I think so if you pm me I'll help out if I can.

According to the Scott website there are 2 dealers in South that sell scott bikes:

Link Here to Scott Website Results

Got my Scott from Slanes in Belfast too and a good few other things too.

Second the comments about it being somewhat of a jungle however they carry some amount of stock so I guess it has to go somewhere. Need bigger premises definitely. Always really helpful when I have been in. Always great deals to be had too.
