I am looking for a Garda report recommending the decriminalisation of Prostution

Hi I am looking for Garda report that was published sometime in 2006 or 2007 that recommended the decriminalisation or legalisation of Prostitution in Ireland. I am remember hearing about it on the radio during this time. My google fu has failed me... does anyone know where I can get a copy of it or more importantly find a story about it on-line? Thanks for any help.

I've not heard of that. It would seem to me unusual for the Gardai to be publically involved in any sort of law reform advocacy as it's not their role.

I'd say contact the Garda Press Office anyway.

Yeah Gardai rarely change the law any more, its a bill/act by the Oireachtas?

Perhaps you could look it up your self - i suggest the Criminal Sexual Offences acts 06/07. I never heard about what you're talking about though.

They did produce a report on trafficking in 2006, but they didn't openly endorse decriminalization of prostitution.
