Can people post up what they think are the essential tips/advice for passing the driving test (i.e - always use mirrors, know your hand signals, remember to check your blind spot etc, that kinda thing). Even if someone has posted your tips/advice already, post it up anyway just to emphasise the point. Cheers.

Try to get your gear changes and braking as smooth as you can, work on your control. It gives a great impression if you're smooth with the car imo

For me doing the test in a decent car is majorly important. Having power steering and a clean nice car gives the tester a sense of safety and comfort no matter there supposed impartiality. Put yourself in their shoes. Also it will just make it easier for you to drive if the car itself isn't a concern, you can concentrate fully on the roads and things around you.

The other major thing is knowing the route or the roads, even roughly. You will know the dangerous parts when you may need to slow or where kids may be running, where road markings(yellow boxes) etc.. are. The point is you will know ahead of time and you can never know early enough about hazards.
