    1.if your on the dole is it a requirement to sign onto fas aswel?
    2.what will fas tell u?give u courses or something?
    3.will ur claim be closed if you dont sign on with fas?

    thanks, meant to be going into them tomorrow and just wondering what the crack is;)

    2. they'll generally go through your education and work experience and see if there are any courses being offered in the near future that you are interested in that would improve your employability
    3. not sure, but I wouldn't chance it. It's not the end of the world to sign up with them.

    I know if you do a full time course with fas they pay you your JB but what happens if half way through the course your JB comes to an end and you don't qualify for JA do fas still pay your JB for the duration of the course.

    They don't pay your JB - they pay a FAS training allowance which happens to be the same rate as JB. So if you haven't come to the end of your JB, your claim stops on the day you start your FAS course.

    ok I know technically your benefit stops from social welfare and Fas start paying but how much will they pay you if you are not entitled to anything from social welfare and how long will they pay you for

    If you manage to get on a FAS course when you're not entitled to a social welfare payment you`ll still get the full training allowance, which is 204.30
