Going direct by aer lingus or ryanair will set you back €400+ including taxes & charges.

    Here's another option -
Dublin to Luton 18th Nov dept 1pm returning Friday 20th Nov 9.30pm via ryanair. Total cost incl taxes €57

Luton to charles de gualle with easyjet dep 3.30 pm arr 17.45 (assuming 8pm ko) returning to luton at 6.30 friday. total cost €70 (£62) incl taxes.

2 nights in basic hotel in paris €120 for 2 people

Total cost for 2 night trip to paris = under €400 for 2 people.

Can also work with some other airports - just spend a bit of time with different options

This should work out well, the train to Gare du Nord from CDG airport passes directly by the Stade de France, only problem I could see is where would you leave your bags?

Or bring her and she can mind them while you and the mates go to the match... thought this was for the rugby initially, TBH we haven't a hope against les blues

Is that not why we have wives & girlfriends and why perfume companies make so much money from us men.:D

I'm not a footie fan myself, but a friend booked this last night and his wife is overjoyed and very willing to take the light bag into gare du nord. - though I'm sure hers will be alot heavier on the return trip!

Is anyone going through the agence 747. 3 of us are and we were getting tickets for the match for €22. But we just got a phone call saying that the FAI let them down and they had to get the tickets through other means and that they will cost another €35. Just wondering if anyone else got this phone call.

wouldnt go with any agency!! i go to all the ireland away games and its much cheaper to do it yourself.

from talking to lads who went with agencies they said it was a nitemare and hotel was always miles away from the craic. cancel it and do it yourself tonight

    http://www.skyscanner.net/flights/uk/pari/091117/091119/cheapest-flights-to-paris-from-united-kingdom-in-november-2009.html

there is flights from the uk and just get a cheap flight from ireland to connect to it.

I believe you've got every right to cancel your booking with 747. Provided, of course you can get tickets elsewhere.

    It is what it's.

Hearing that the prices for the game in Paris have gone through the roof. The French FA have charged a lot more than normal for these tickets so it is probably not 747's fault! Actually €57 sounds about right but they are the cheapest seats. Most of the tix the FAI got were overt €100.

Can't be true, my 2 tickets were €60 each

As already stated tickets went from, 22,42,62,82 from the FAI. I got the 22euro ones myself and a telescope.

Just a word of advice. Not all trains (not many at all) from CDG stop at the Stade. You may have to go to Gare de Nord and come back. Also, on match days there is a shuttle service from most RER stations in central Paris, typically St Michel, Chatelet, Gare du Nord, to the Stade, and an on demand service back afterwards. By far the simplest way to get there and back. Enjoy!!

My apologies for that piece of information - was told that they had significantly increased. Do know a mate who has tickets for €130 and he got them from FAI!
