Engagement ring size - Help!

Ok, got a question. I need to buy an engagement ring for my girlfriend but have no idea what size ring to get! She's away at the moment and there's only one ring left at home which is a size 7 I think but dont know what finger its for! She's fairly petite so I think her engagement ring finger would probably be a 6 (or 5?) but not sure.

The ring I'm buying is only a CZ ring to propose with...the real one I want her to pick, but all the same I want her to be able to wear it for a few days without falling off...or cutting off the circulation in her finger!

Any advice would be much appreciated:)

Does she have any sisters or close girl friends or even her mother you could ask??

Best of luck by the way :)

I'd prefer not to get them involved to be honest...they'd probably let it slip!:)

Do you reckon getting a 6 would be a safe bet if one of her other fingers is a 7 or can finger sizes vary by more than one size? I'm a complete novice with ring sizes!:o

I don't know if rings with CZ stones commonly come in all sizes. You're probably better off getting a big one to ensure it fits, no harm if it's loose as it's only temporary.

Word of warning though, she WILL compare the real diamond(s) against the size/shape of the CZ stone(s), so make sure you get a smallish one or you'll be broke in a hurry!

    Best of luck! :)
