    ..on the tellybox again.
Anyone else out there like me watching it, and still laughing at it, almost before the jokes/punchlines are hit?!:D
    Yes, I am *that* sad....!

Aye, it's a bit ho ho ho ho and heh heh heh heh.

Such classic stuff. Tempted to get the boxset but would worry about finally watching it too much then and having nothing else to watch on RTÉ ever again.

amacachi, what's worse is, I actually have the boxset....:D Haven't watched it aaaages though, although there's something nicer about watching it on the telly and nipping out to make a cuppa in an ad break :)

Davy, gotta love the "There's a lot of hairy babies on this island Ted...!"

Ah yeah, much prefer watching shows as they're shown, but Ted is probably the only programme which is shown often enough to not need the boxset.

obviously some(a minority) will have got bored of it but how does it manage to stay funny?

lts still great, still makes me laugh even though l've seen them all before.
lt's aged well unlike a lot of "old" comedy shows.
    Possibly the best sit-com ever?

Think their all on 4od too haven't checked in awhile but they used to be. Defo is a classic tho will never get old!

Speed 3 is one of my favourites, i love when they are planning all day and at the end all they can come up is another mass :D

I don't know how it does it tbh, if anything I enjoy it more and more each time. I think the acting is a massive part of it now I think of it, all the priests are just class.

Or when Ted scribbles furiously on the board and ends up just writing "Put a Brick on the accelerator" :pac:

Probably the best programme to ever come out of Ireland! (well out of ireland sort of.. :P)

I think the fact that it rarely referenced pop-culture has helped it age. Similar in ways to Fawlty Towers. Also even though you know the jokes and punch lines off by heart the delivery (the tone, timing and facial expressions) is so perfect that it still has you laughing.

    It's the stuff of legend.

The boring priest upon seeing the Jesus rug: "Ah, tis yourself!"

I kind of get the feeling that RTE had to slap on Fr Ted on Monday because the rest of their "comedy" (and I use the term loosely) line-up wasn't up to much.

It's possible the only show I actually watch on RTE now.

I will never forget that brilliant image of Bishop Brennen (Len) running up towards the house in a blind fury, shouting "CRILLLY!!!!!!!" , with his giant cloak billowing in the wind spreading across the width of the green.:pac:

I say the jokes before the characters do, it's gotten to the point that nobody will watch it with me any more :pac:

It's one of those shows that just never gets old

Anyone else think that Jack got unfunny after the 4th or 5th repeat? Apart from that it's very re-watchable.

I love the one with the sheep, where everytime Ted makes a revelation near the end, there is general gasps of disbelief, then you can just make out someone saying "F**kin 'Ell"

    Haha Classic

Glad to see I'm not alone on this one...!
Nellumr, have to agree to disagree, love the randomness of Jack in the different episodes, esp.the one where he sobers up... "don't tell me I'm still on that feckin island...!!" or words to that effect..love it!:D
