Off Books...Few Q's

    Righto:

    I'm going off books for the year.

    Do I have to register? Was told I couldn't earlier on until I did my super supplemental.

    Ive paid my reg fee. Can I still use the gym even if I have no student card? I hope so since Ive paid for it.

    Can I play sports for the club? Probably not...

    If anyone has any info on going off books that would be appreciated!

    And yes, I'm going to my tutor but I just wanted to know a few things asap:)

    Used to be details on tcd.ie... basically, as you wouldn't have a students card and since you're not paying the reg. fee you wouldn't be eligible for membership of DUCAC or other bodies. Might be worth investigating if you can pay the fee for the gym yourself though but, eh, only as long as you're not appealing to go off books due to financial reasons!

    You can definitely use the library with a readers card anyways.

    Not sure about registration.

    BTW best to check all the above with your tutor and/or the SU Education Officer since there's a good chance it's a few years out of date :)

    Thing is I paid the reg fee (inclusive of gym fee)! That was back in aug/sept and I had no choice....

    So I was wondering what the difference registration would make? For all essential purposes would it just give me a student card, or would it *make me a student of the college*?...getting technical here I know!

    I'm meeting with the tutor on thursday but I just want to know ehre I stand so thanks for answering!
