What makes a car hard to drive?

    Hey guys

As the title says what contributes to making a car hard to drive? I recently was taking an Alfa 156 for a test drive and I found the clutch pedal extremely small (and also way too loose) but this immediately turned me off the car. Now I realise that I only drove it for maybe 10 mins so I probably could of gotten used to it, but are there any other things in cars that people have found make them difficult to drive?

Or are there any cars that are particularly renowned for being hard to drive?

Sorry if this has been asked before!

    Any car is different.

In general, if you don't feel comfy in a car, it just might not be the car for you.

Give you an example, I had a Toyota Corolla '08 rental for a day and i just hated it. I would never buy that car.

On the other side, you sit down in a '92 BMW E34 and you feel just right home.

The feel of a car has to do with many things, some things you might get used to, but honestly you should feel right home, if you're going to do a lot of milage. Otherwise it's pointless to buy the car.

The differences are pedal setup, seats, suspension, tyres, interior etc. etc. etc. etc.

Flat tyres, no petrol, cars sticking to the fast lane

Seriously, it's about the individual. For example, I find my mothers Megane pig to drive (steering is too light, power to weight too low, gear stick so far forward as to be practically out of reach). she on the other hand wouldn't drive my IS 200 in a fit.

Just went and checked my clutch pedel (156), its not particularly small nice Alfa logo on It though.

Speaking of pedels; have you seen the accelerator pedel on a Focus? Now that feels loose, and ours comes forward a lot if you put your foot behind it.
