I'm gonna start this as my betting log, It won't be Topher-esque or anything ;p but anyway,

I will be starting at small stakes and seeing where it goes from there, I will only use my Paddy Power online acc. and record results here

Its a good way to keep track of my selections and as my predictions and results will be reported honestly it will be good for betting discipline

    lets see how it goes

    Starting tonight with

    Leeds V Norwich
    Fulham V Hull

    €2.67 returns €8.01

    Shocking night last night...

    Tonights selections

    Chelsea v Atletico Madrid (1/3)

Chelsea have won their last 6 home games in a row P6 W6 GF12 GA1 where as Atletico who are languishing in 15th place in La Liga and have an away record this season of P5 W0 D1 L4 GF 4 GA 13

Other than Drogba being suspended and Boswinga out injured I really can't see anything other than a home win here

Real Madrid V AC Milan (4/9)

Should be a clash of the titans game with 2 huge names going at it, but even though they have no Ronaldo and Milan have improved in their last few games with wins over AS Roma and Marseille I'm gonna go with Real here, They have a home record this season of P5 W5 L0 GF 18 GA 4 and have scored an average of 4 goals per game in this years champions league, playing against a Milan team who seem to be struggling since Ancelotti left in the summer, their away record this season reads P5 W2 L1 D2 GF 5 GA 4, Milan also have alot of injuries Gattuso, Onyewu, and keeper Marco Storari

CSKA Moscow V Man United (Draw 9/4)

I'm gonna go for a draw here, With Ferguson likely to go for a 5 man midfield and a lone striker (Owen or Berbatov). Normally I would lead towards United because they tend to swing these kind of games 1-0, but they will be without the likes of Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs, Patrice Evra, Darren Fletcher and Park Ji-Sung for the trip to the plastic pitch in Russia. Vidic and Berbatov are also doubts but we know how Fergie likes a surprise and I wouldn't be surprised at all, if they both start.

The hosts have their own injury worries and will be without former Liverpool winger Mark Gonzalez and forward Guilherme for the clash, while Vasili Berezutski is a doubt with a cold but nevertheless have a good home record of late having P5 W5 L0 GF 13 GA 1

With the plastic pitch and the freezing weather (between 0'C and 5'C) might give CSKA what they need to get something out of this match

Bordeaux V Bayern Munich (DRB 4/6)

Bayern's away record reads P6 W3 L2 D1 GF 12 GA 6 with 3 of their goals coming in one game against Maccabi Haifa in their last CL outing, Bayern have been well below par this season and are tonight without 2 playmakers Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery and also Olic and Braahfield which will really hinder their attacking capabilities, Bordeaux will be looking to capitalise on this as Juventus are ready to pounce in 3rd spot and look set to get the 3 points at home to Maccabi which will see them overtake one of these clubs here tonight

Bordeaux on the other hand have an excellent record at home this season having P5 W5 L0 GF 11 GA 1 and are only separated at the top of the group by goal difference. I can see them going for an attacking formation here tonight with no major injury worries I am going for a draw no bet for Bordeaux at 4/6

    A €10 accum here pays €110

Although I will be betting on the matches individually

    Good luck

Fairly happy with how I called the games tonight, got unlucky in the United game, I did say it is a game they could swing 1-0 just thought the injuries and conditions would have gotten the better of them tonight

Real was a bit of a surprise, good ole Italians again proving how unpredicatable they can be, although I did say Milan had gotten it together recently didn't think they could keep it together for such a big game

    Chelsea was standard

And happy enough with the prediction on the Bordeaux game with the Bayern injuries...

Thats me now till saturday, plenty of time to study the weekend fixtures

Gonna do 2 bets in my small stakes / attempt to build bankroll this weekend

    Chelsea (-1) V Blackburn 8/15 €5

Chelsea have now P7 W7 GF16 GA1 at home against blackburn who shipped 6 on their last trip to the capital with a dismal away record of P3 W0 D0 L3 GF 3 GA11

With the return of Drogba absent from midweek, home banker here

    Birmingham v Sunderland 7/5 €5

Sunderland on a high at the minute in 7th in the league after holding the champions United at Old Trafford and beating Liverpool at home, although they have lost 2 games on the road this season they, were against Stoke and Burnley who will trouble most teams who visit them this season, Birmingham on the other hand have P4 W1 D1 L2 GF 2 GA 3 and have lost the last 5 out of 6 matches including their last 2 at home against Bolton and Aston Villa, Sunderland have already beaten them once this season 2-0 so I'm gonna stick with the form guide and go for an away win. I think 7/5 is probably thr bet of the weekend aswell.
