Why would you want one of those? Logic and a mac book pro is more powerful! Throw in a ssl and you will look the biz too!:p

Would you not get one from your shop...... wholesale???

The difference between wholesale and RRP is very very small!
I just want a wee rig for a bit of editing and mucking about on.

why not grab a few dual cores off ebay cheap with bucket loads of ram and a few gig ethernet cards

install mac osx on them (ie: hackintosh)

load up logic studio 9 and run the 1st one in your main daw and the rest as logic nodes - it will easily crucify a protools rig.

sounds like that setup would be the size of a house and take as long to build.
