I was re-reading the series, as i had little to read and found myself enjoying every page. Anyway, I'm a few chatpers into the deathly hollows ( enjoying reading this one as I've les memory of it then the rest), and its mentioned somewhere in regards to the mirror in philosphers stone which only shows you your hearts desire, " What did dumbledore really see in the mirror, when he claimed he seen himself holding wooly socks"

Was there ever a hint given of what it was?

Didn't he see himself saving his sister? Or else his entire family, happy and alive. Can't remember which one.
