Can anyone recommend a good place with reasonable rates for getting a mountain bike serviced in the city centre?

    Thanks.

the edge on north main street is the best we've found.

I brought my mountain bike to the 'Bicycle Repair Shop' on Parnell Place, near the bus station.

I was just looking for a basic service really - you know to make sure the wheels don't fall off etc.

It cost € 30 for the service, although he was looking for € 40 initially. He seems to be a decent fella who works there and I'm pleased with the job.

you obviously weren't too pleased with it for not to pay the original fee;)
Seems a decent fee for anything that involves human labour these days!

Thanks for the recommendations. Mine is a specialist mountain bike. You've given me quite a few options so I guess that I'll keep trying them until I find the one that I'm most happy with.

Message for run forrest run: I'm sorry but I don't think I phrased my post correctly.

When I went into the bike shop I was quoted € 40 for a service and said to the guy "is there any chance of a reduction" and so we settled on € 30.

I was very happy with the service by the way.:)
