I wouldn't look at it in terms of wins, but more in terms of value - which is where golf and F1 come in to play. You can get great e/w value if you know your stuff and have the time to keep up with form etc.

Tennis is another good one too for doubles, trebles, accums. and the like - these are much less risky than on other sports.

Soccer is very hard because a draw is traditionally a good result for the bookie but less popular for the punter.

I have found rugby to be tricky too of late! Lost out on Cardiff at 11/10 by 2pts and had a 4-fold accum. ruined by a 79th minute drop goal by the Cheetahs!
