Roads Allocations in Ireland 1984 and 1985

    These sums were for all design/land purchase/new roads/maintenance etc .

    They are about what the greens want to enforce from 2012 onwards ( inflation adjusted of course ) so double them and you get an idea .

    In 1984 National roads got £102m ( €125m or so) and that went up to £128m in 1985 ( €150m) . Dublin did best in both years .

    This was pre-NRA so to get the equivalent figure for now we need to include councils allocations and the NRAs allocations...

    I meant to compare to the figure for now you'd need to get the NRA and Council allocations together, not that that doesn't. I specifically said that did!
