Getting sound from XBOX to Projector

So I have a Nobo S22 projector and I have the Yellow composite cable on an XBOX connected to it and the picture is great.
However I have no sound. I'm aware the sound travels through the Red&White composite so I connected these to a tv by scart adaptor with the hope the sound would be played through the AV on the tv. No Luck.

Any ideas how I can do this?

I also have PC speakers that I could use but these have male connection only as most normal speakers.

I recently connected a ps3 to a projector and used the sound jack on the projector. It was a single jack on the projector but you can buy an adaptor from red and white to single phono for about €3.

im a little confused. If you hook your sound jacks into the projector that would require your projector to have speakers in built. Your other option is to hook it into an amp or computer speakers.

Yeah your right, I dont have speakers in the projector. Basicaly I need to get the sound from the X-BOX anyway possible. I have an XBOX to Yellow/Red/White cable as I used when it was connected to TV. At the moment the Yellow is connected to the Projector for picture (working fine), so I tried connecting the Red/White to the tv with the hope that the sound would play through that, no luck though.

Without seeming to be stating the obvious, did you ensure that you were connecting the red/white leads to an input on the tv as opposed to an output?

some inputs (eg scart) require you to use the break out/in box. many consoles come with them, my old xbox did, I think even the ps3 did.
