Those themed easter egg mugs were vital for any proper easter. At least 1 or 2 had to be got every year. And then they still sit in your press today, still getting used, still your favourite.
My mug of choise; my Man Utd mug!

Caramel bar one with the rabbit on it...Can't remember how long we've had it in the family, but I'd guess at least a decade...!

The only mug I ever got from an Easter egg was one from Malteasers.

I remember those, oh brings back memories. Like my Tom and Jerry one, which my sister as well for Easter one year when we were really young. When I got mine I was in a really bad mood and threw it on the ground *smashy smashy* I was really upset after I did it so my Mum went down to the shop where she bought it to see if they had another one left. They didn't:( That put an end to all my crockery based presents

I have a lovely little yellow egg-cup in the shape of a hen that came with a small Easter-egg way back in the 1960s. Nice memories. :)

My Zig and Zag mug that originally had an Easter Egg is still my favourite mug to have tea in when I'm at my mum's house. Ah...lovely mug it is.

I still have my bosco one!

Remember the Cadbury Creme Eggs competitions they had where you had to guess where the egg was hidden. Needed 10 wrappers or something to enter! I won a Creme Egg eggcup from it :D

We've two big yellow Flake mugs from last year, a Kit Kat one from the year before. I used to really want the big square Cadbury's Drinking Chocolate ad mug. Remember that?

Slightly off topic but I noticed in a Centra lately that Jacob's Club Milk are doing a Big chunky yellow SQUARE mug free with 12 club milks.

Would ya not just be dribbling tea everywhere?

I just seen them in Dunnes and had the same thought!! I'd have thought the tea/coffee would leak out at the edges!

    Snap! :D

I still use my United one! Was devastated when I broke one when I brought it to my college accommodation. Had it for years and not a week in the new house, and broked. :( Still have my second one and keep good care of it. Slightly discoloured from the dishwasher though.

I'm gonna need to get new ones next easter I think though...

lol yeah whenever I open my press to get a cup I consciously look to see if either my United mugs are there and will pick them if they are there! One is very discoloured at this stage but the other is going strongly! Like United in real life :P

I think I still have a Forty Coats mug somewhere.
They are deffo still doing them, kid got a small Spongebob one last year and the year before. Have a little britain one that came with an egg from Aldi.

Trick with smarties in eggs is to melt your easter egg and pour it over the smarties yum yum

When I was a kid my mother bought me an Easter egg from Urney as was. It came all wrapped up and sitting in a bright yellow mug with the brand name on the side on which had been printed the word's 'John's Eatser Egg.' What made this doubly perplexing was that my name isn't John and Easter was misspelt

I had a "winnie the pooh" mug that came with an Easter egg at least 15 years ago, used it all the time,a great mug. One day it was missing and upon investigation it turned out my mum had given it to the charity bag. Scoured all the shops of the charity in question to no avail-gutted! Still brings back painful memories...:(
