I cant believe there is no thread here that covers this.
Basically if you've been up to Newry and had a positive experience, please list the name of the Dentist.
There are lists of "your nearest dentist". But lets face it, your nearest dentist might not be the best one-recommendations are needed.

Hopefully we can add to this over time.

We will allow this. I just want to remind everyone about the 50 post, 2 month rule before posting recommendation. All others will be deleted as spam.

jay2k6ie you do not have enough posts to allow you to recommend anyone either on forum of by PM. To other users, we get loads of span on hear and the 3 month 50 post rule is so that you can know that a reccomendation comes from a reliable source. Lots of dental surgeries are on hear shilling for your business,

    Jay2k6ie infraction given.

Just a warning that we won't tolerate in thread criticism of moderation. If you have a problem go to the help desk forum.

*edit* @ Cephei- I've just realised that you've recently been in the helpdesk and returned from a ban. Be very, very careful...I think if fitzgeme saw this, you'd be getting an infraction at the very least.

Not criticising anything mate just giving him a heads up before he gets barred for the same reason as myself..

Mod edit ** I dont want to bump this thread so I am editing this post, it turns out that Cephei and jay2k6ie are the same person along with a couple of other usernames on hear that I have all banned. They all for some reason are proponents of going up north to pay privately for NHS treatment, Spammers will not be tollerated" perma ban Cephei and all your other usernames.

    Getting back on topic..

I'm currently attending Cloughoge Dental Practice, which is on the Forkhill Rd not far from Newry - very handy as you don't have to go into Newry itself (a nightmare coming up to Christmas!).

Couldn't find a website specific to the dental practice but the contact details are on this site - http://www.mulkernsspar.com/dentist.htm

No connection to the practice other than as a paying customer.

A female friend of mine was recently attacked and badly beaten around the face. She wants to go up North. She got one front tooth knocked out and is bruised under the eyes etc, so she doesn't want to go to her own dentist, because she is embarrassed about her looks right now and wouild actualy be more comfortable with a dentist she could see once and get it over with.

Anyone recommend a dentist who is a pleasure to deal with and is cheap too. I don't know what she will need done, a replacement tooth or whatever.

    Thanks,

    mal.

it doesn't sound like a one hit wonder kinda job there, and i'm sure her own dentist wouldn't be too bad about it. there's the whole patient confidentiality thing too.
jaysis the bouncers in the club down the road from me in england were the reason my mondays were busy.

Is it really that much cheaper up the north for dental issue?Would the dental hospital in Dublin city center be cheaper than private dental practices?

I need some work done soon fillings+root canal.
