My old Acer Ferrari needs to be retired and its served me well for the last few years. Its played everything Ive thrown at but this weekend I tried to install Batman Arkum Asylum and lo and behold I need a graphics card with "shader 3"

So anyway Ive been happy with Acer and Ive narrowed it down to 2 on overclockers.

    1.Acer Aspire 7735G Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 2.10GHz 17.3" LED Laptop - Vista Home Premium (LX.PC70X.007) Acer Aspire 7735G Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 2.10GHz 17.3" LED Laptop - Vista Home Premium (LX.PC70X.007)

    and

2.Acer Aspire 5536G AMD Turion X2 RM-74 2.20GHz 15.6" LED Laptop - Vista Home Premium (LX.PAZ0X.002) This Week Only Offer
    Acer Aspire 5536G AMD Turion X2 RM-74 2.20GHz 15.6" LED Laptop - Vista Home Premium (LX.PAZ0X.002)

So which is better? They both have a Ati 4570--The 5536g has 512mb and the 7735g uses system ram and should suit my needs(casual gamer).
/Edit--Just edited the above^^^ Theres different memory configurations on each machine.

Now theres the issue of the CPU--One is Amd and one is Intel. My current Acer is an AMD Turion as well and Ive never had a days problem with it so I dont mind AMD.

Thirdly theres the screen size--17.3 or 15.6?Current one is 15.4 but the bigger screen would be nice.

If any of you can come up with a better specced one at a similar price youre welcome to recommend it.
    Thanks
    Richie.

If you're looking at Acers, this one link would probably be better than either of those, and there's free shipping. Its brand new though so you'd want to wait and confirm all the specs. The GT230M should be a little better than either the 4570 or the GT130M. And it ships with Win7 so there's no messing around looking for an upgrade CD.

Graphics memory is more or less irrelevant on these low end cards so i wouldn't pay any heed to it.

The AMD processors are fairly slow compared to the Core2Duos so i'd only get one if the budget was very tight. You don't need a massively fast processor to game, because in a laptop it'll be the mid-range GPU holding you back, but i'd still avoid the AMDs.

If portability isn't a major issue, a nice big screen is a definite plus, especially for gaming or watching movies, but at the end of the day thats something you have to decide for yourself.

Just a final note, don't expect to be playing Batman with high settings on any mid-range laptop. Its a new game so you'll need to be lowering the settings a lot. Go for the best GPU you can find in your budget. Theres a very rough chart here in the middle column. You'll be looking at getting the best card possible in the Class 2 section.

    Cheers for that Voodu.
With regards to gaming Im only looking for something that I can run the odd newer release on Batman for example and Battlefield 1943 when its released.Other than that Im happy playing BF2 and BFV.That one you linked to is ideal and the GPU seems better than the 2 I linked to.
Im not 100% set on Acer--Any make or model that has the mid range performance Im looking for would be fine.

Whats the minimum Gpu/cpu combination that you`d even consider for my needs--my budget might stretch a bit more to get the right machine.
