Hey - I manage a rock band called OnOff.

We have just recorded a demo and these are the first mixes.

Guys - let me know your thoughts on which song to produce and properly mixed for a potential single.

    Link to songs is here

    The songs are called:

    Stars Don't Shine
    Dealer in the distance.
    Suicide

What would you release as a single.

    Let me know?

    Dicki

ha ha, I just went straight to the link without reading any of the above posts

I'm guessing your just playing dress up for a bit, pretending, it's nice to play games sometimes, sometimes when I'm playing with my nieces, I pretend to be a monster, you know, like a manager, this band of friends that you have are not a punk band, they are not even a good band, but if you think you might get a ride out if it, sure work away but I doubt you'll get advice here

Why is this posted in "Punk" ?.

The first track could eventually be a radio friendly single with a re-write & a lot of work.

As previous people said this should NOT be in the Punk section.

    It's utter garbage too.

    From ON/OFF site

"To this date OnOff have played over 200 gigs in mainland Europe and have obtained over 20,000 fans on their Myspace page."

What they don't mention is that they sent out spam asking everyone to join their site. HOLLOW certainly has a ring to it.

So the Green Day song, the Arctic Monkeys song, or the song that rips a Dead Kennedys riff - I think I'll abstain...

i did used to like on off.... never believed them to be punk... and now they're even less punk....

    but as singles go:
... that third one is awful mix-wise

i think the ship has sailed on the old arctic monkeys sound

i think you could get the first one played on ballbag radio.... good luck and that but find your audience yno? it's not punk
