Whats Broken ?

    Wifes IPhone fell (child threw it) Glass Screen intact, however no icons showing just a white screen. I do hear a click when I switch it on and slide where the unlock bar should be. Cant seem to switch the phone off either. Can press the off button but nothing happens when I attempt the slide.
    Is it the LCD or Digitiser, is it worthwhile fixing it myself, the phone itself is imaculate no damage as it was in one of those hardcase sleeves.
    Any info on repairs etc appreciated.

    did u try holding the home button (round button) and the power button down at the same time for about 15 seconds?

    Switched off alright, thanks. Still the white screen of death gonna do some research to see if I can do a DIY LCD repair. I'm hoping its just the LCD and I should be up and running.

    30 isnt too bad...this happened to my phone once(i didnt drop it though)..basically it turned off, but there was loads of battery left..tried to turn it on and it wouldn't..then pressed the home and power buttons together for about 15 seconds ..the white screen then showed up for a while..i think at that point i repeated the above process and hooked it up to itunes and that sorted it..
