good doors - messed up by painter

I recently got a "painter" in to paint all our interior doors. He mixed the paint with a lot of white spirit to thin it out & the result is that the underlying colour is visible under the paint & the new coat is so thin that it scrapes off easily leaving the underlying colour exposed. I'm crazy mad about this.

Can i get the doors chemically stripped back to bare wood? whats this process called? how much can i expect to pay?

    thanks y'all.
