ACER P1166P Video Projector

    I'm in the market for buying an affordable projector to watch movies on and I came across this.

    Tech spec wise it reads great but I was wondering if anybody had any experience with this projector and if anybody would have any recommendations in the €400/450 price range if this is considered a no-no?

    I'd save my pennies and up your budget a bit more. That projector has a native resolution of 800 x 600 so is 4:3 ratio, not ideal for movies. It's not a HD projector either.You may as well get a HD Ready projector especially if you have or are considering getting a Bluray player.

    It also has speakers built in and that suggests to me that it aimed for presentations etc.

    Have a look at some Optoma entry level projectors. HD65, HD700X etc. These are excellent home cinema projectors that will impress.
