LC appeals and entrance exhibitions

    Hello everyone,

I appealed one of my LC results, and it was successful.

Until recently, however, I didn't realize that it pushed my CAO score up to the cut-off point for the Entrance Exhibitions. I've contacted the Admissions Office to try and get my admissions data amended in time, but my student record still shows my old CAO score.

Is anyone else in this situation? Does anyone know how much time I have to get my new score in there before they make the list of exhibitioners?

You might have more luck with the Student Records Office - pop into their office in House 5.

And if they can't help or don't know what to do, go talk to the SU Education Officer.

Much simpler is contact student records and state you wish your record to be updated to reflect the current status of your result

Mention the data protection act and fact you have the legal right to have personal data kept up to date and accurate.

If you have been here long enough you will learn that unless there is a risk of getting sued or shamed in the papers the College machine isn't terribly eager to do anything out of its normal routine.

Its a legal right, the College has been told the data they hold is wrong, failure to comply could see College in court, magically the problem will go away though it may be too late for the University Calendar 2010'ed to have the extra name listed
