    ... planks of MDF or Plywood at a size of 6 foot by 6. I'm just looking to get 240 feet of timber and all the local usual shops only seem to sell 8 by 4. I'm looking for whatever would be cheapest as i will be covering them with material for dividing a room. Any advise would be really appreciated.

    Oh yeah, where would it be possible to buy this size if it was available.

    Sorry to bring you bad news but 8x4 is the industry standard.
    It isn't available in any larger size.
    Just on a safety note....If you are cutting MDF indoors wear a dust mask.
    Dust from MDF is almost as fine as mohagony dust and is very damaging to the lungs.
    MDF has been banned from use in USA for a few years now.
