Has anyone any opinion on which type of trap would be more successful?..

CavanShooters plans have the doors/traps on the sides, i.e. ground level.
While traditional (huntinglife) plans have the doors on the roof.

Both look good to me; but I was wondering if one is better than the other?

I made one with the trap door on the top. Most people around here have the ones with the side entrys. They do seem to catch more than me, but i do catch a good few. I think its more about where you position it.

well I just bought 8 springs, so I'm gonna make myself one of each I think and see how they fare. They're probably as good as each other...
