Proberably not alchol poisioning, more likely someone drank too much, made a mess of themselfs and others called an ambulance to scoop them up and bring them to hospital, once again irresponsible people putting extra pressure on ambualnce service and a&e, like they dont have enough ****e to deal with as is

Exactly, my point is: What constitutes alcohol poisoning?

Probably some idiotic first year who recently 'came out of their shell' through a litre of Vodka or something of the like.....

No sympathy what so ever for whoever this is, doing that to yourself is ridiculous.

Maybe now they know their own limit.

    drinkaware.ie tbh.

Some students proving they are still too immature to hold their drink. Know the one thats one too many and don't ruin your good night.

Exactly, I recently got a battering in a seperate forum for saying much the same. I've no sympathy for anyone who overdoes it on drugs....

I've no sympathy for drug users full stop, its not like the fact arnt out there, and before anyone decides to ride in on their high horse, im a smoker, i only have myself to blame for my idiotic habbit - lack of fitness, lack of finance, health problems, stinking of smokes etc etc its all on my shoulders

When someone puts arsenic in your drink, that's alcohol poisoning... Anything else is just a misnomer...

I mean, if one is rational with drugs, then thats fine. Those who will stop after the 6th pint, or stop after the 2nd spliff - they've my respect.

What you don't understand though is that alcohol is fine and safe and legal but cannabis is a death warrant

How can you learn your limit if you never went past it? You guys are a little harsh, I don't even go to DCU but surely it's not out of the question that this was a valid case of alcohol poisoning (which can lead to death). It'd have to have been pretty bad for someone to have called an ambulance over it.

Although I've never had alcohol poison or had to go to hospital etc I have gotten too drunk on occaision for whatever reason, usually not intentionally. Have a little sympathy

Ah I see, on re-reading that makes sense.

The internet really has to come up with some sort of sarcasm font or something.
