    Hi everyone,
Sorry to piggyback this thread, but there seems to be alot of people in this thread who may have the answer to my question.
I am wondering do most clubs do taegeuk patterns or are there any clubs who exclusively use palgwe patterns?
    Please let me know
    Many thanks

Ireland does not seem to have many World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) registered clubs or clubs that just use the Taeguk set of forms.

you could try the Irish Taekwondo union http://www.itu.ie for a list of clubs near you. as without knowing your location i cannot be sure of what clubs would suit you.

we had a guy in cork teaching WTF Taekwondo for a while but i don't know where he is teaching at the moment. but i could find out if you were near here?

let us know what you need ;)

    Hi PMA-IRE
I trained WTF while I was a student in the UK. I hope to come back home in the near future but would love to be able to continue training with a similar syllabus, i.e. with the Palgwe patterns. Learning Taegeuk from scratch would be tough, but not impossible.
Ideally I would like such a club in the Offaly/Laois area but i do realise that this is quite specific. Basically if I knew if we even have any clubs in Ireland who teach Palgwe patterns and where they are it would be a start.

I appreciate any help you can offer
    Many thanks

I reckon the closest to you would be a man called Jan Bartels, he's a 7th dan kukkiwon black belt. Old school type guy with an emphasis on patterns, both Taeguks and Palgwe. He's based in Longford, but he has black belts teaching in Offally. I used to have a number for him, but I would say you'd be better off googling and seeing if you can find him.

    Good luck!
