    Hi lads,

Basically as the title says Im looking for a new laptop.
It will be used for Internet and a lot of music mainly, probably the odd film or 2 aswell. Im restricted to a budget of max. €500.

Im a bit confused as to which aspect of the specifications is most important to the performance of the machine.
ie. will i need a core 2 duo processor or will a dual core 2 do?
ram size? 3 gb?, clock fequency?, FSB?. Also it would be nice to have a fairly big HD but I can buy an external at some stage if I cant get a big enough one with the laptop.

Im sick of my last laptop freezing the whole time while even browsing the web.

I know Lidl and Aldi do some deals on laptops, would it be worth hanging on until/if they get them in or should I just buy from Dell?

Sorry for the million questions but if anyone can shed some light on the subject it would be greatly apprieciated.

Unfortunatly the HD is damaged and the screen is broken!

I had a look on the outlet but not sure if they are capable of doing the job, atleast the ones under €500. Seems the laptopts with the core 2 duo processor are quiet expensive. Whats the story with the Celeron processor? Are they any good?
