Can you check if it powers up with just the new card in it?

And have you remembered to plug the PCIe Power connector in?

And yes, see if just the new card works. If it does, it is a power issue, if it doesn't, the card is FUBAR :D

Crap now the thing won't power at all

Yes I had PCIe power into both cards

Phew' it's restarted , thanks for the replies btw, I'm going to try the new card in the primary slot, let you know how i get on

Ok new card works in the main slot

    PSU is rated for SLI

    Just cracked it !!!!

I had the end of the pcie cables that were to go into the PSU into the card instead of into the psu.

Just changed them and we have lift off ! :D

    Fingers crossed

Now you've got the "oh thank ****, I thought I'd blown my pc but it's working perfectly now" rush. Similar to the "I almost died" rush just not quite as intense. :pac:

If anything it is more intense. If you are dead you won't care, but if your PC blows up, you are gonna be pissed! :D
