As the title suggests I am thinking of replacing tomorrows LSR 10 miles with a gym session of a similar duration (keeping heart rate up) to protect a slight niggle in my knee that I'm affraid to aggravate. Any thoughts as to weather this is a good or bad idea.
    Cheers.

In that position I'd be inclined either to rest completely, or to do a bit of swimming. You're not going to protect the knee much in the gym - don't do any deep squats anyway :pac:

With nine days to go you're not going to lose a great deal of condition and it might even be to your benefit to arrive fresh at the starting post.

Thanks RoyMcC, was thinking of just doing a good session on the bike or cross trainer to get the blood pumping a bit and mentally feel better for having got something under my belt.
