    Hi,
    I'm just looking for some information of peoples experiences of good promotional efforts by companies. (ie handing out free pens, food samples, etc)

    Questions:

    1) Where and what was the events you attended?
    2) What companies did you approach or did they approach you?
    3) What kind of items/samples did you get?
    4) What way did the promotional people present themselves? (in suits, costume etc)

    Just doing a small bit of research

    Why bother with the research? This isn't exactly a hard concept that requires great research. It's all relative to the company product that is wanted promoted and who the target audience is.

    Once you answered these questions it should be more evident on how to market it.
