    Hi folks.

I understand there's no Christmas bonus. But is there a change in payment days over the Christmas period?

My mother-in-law's getting SWA, pending her application for JA (applied back in April, no decision as yet). She receives payment every Thursday from the Post Office.

My question is, are the payment days the same in December, or is there likely to be a change due to the holiday period?

If it stays the same, the payment schedule will be as follows:
    • Thursday 17th December.
    • Thursday 24th December.
    • Thursday 31st December.

    Many thanks.

...and what would happen if your payment dates would be the 25th December and the 1st January?

I suppose they'd be moved to a day earlier, since the 25th Dec and 1st Jan are public holidays.

But the 24th and 31st of December are not public hols and, as such, will the payment on these dates be unaffected and paid as normal?

I'm sure they'll let you know in advance. I imagine a double week the week before christmas and no payment on the 24th, and the 31st will be a payment day, then back to normal, i reckon?
