Does the Irish VAT Registration Threshold include exempted services?
Its not clear from the Revenue Guides.

So if I supply exempted services but also supply a small amount of taxable services ( 50 K exempt + 5K taxable) , Am i obliged to register?

In the UK, the answer is a clear No. In Ireland, not so clear based on guides

    Any informed opinions welcome.

    No

If a service is exempt that means it falls outside the remit of VAT so it does not count as the total for the registration threshold.

But beware that you are actually exempt and not just zero rated. If you are vatable but at the zero rate it does go towards the vat threshold limit.

    Hope this helps

Its not clear from the Revenue documentation that the VAT threshold is comprised of taxable supplies only. It mentions turnover with specifying the nature of the turnover.

Is your opinion based on experience.
Should I seek clarification from Revenue

    Cheers
