iMac, Macbook Pro, iPhone and Time capsule!

I have progressed from just having my iMac at home to adding an iphone and time capsule.

Now I have added a macbook pro and am at a loss as to the best way to keep everything in check.

I can't seem to set up a shared folder on the time capsule (really using it like an external hard drive) .. it would be handy.

Also, how can I make sure that my contacts and calanders are sync'd between all three devices?

Is it possible to use both the imac and macbook pro to sync the iphone?

The Apple-sanctioned way of doing it is to subscribe to MobileMe.

There may be other (cheaper) ways of doing it, but as a MobileMe subscriber and user of an iMac, MacBook Pro and an iPhone, I can safely say that it is the most convenient and seamless...

    Agreed,
Mobile me is not very highly regarded and in some cases I would question its use, but I have it primarily for this task, and it is fairly seemless.
