Unlimited? I've always fancied the idea of owning New Zealand.

A selection of high end amps (Diezels, Mesa, ENGLs, Dr Z's) and Bacchus' entire catalogue would be a definite though.

Gibson. I hear that they need a new owner. :p

You'd have to go custom and use the best of the best of everything! Oh and the Bacchus back catalogue would most definitely go down well!

A stradivarious then walk into a gathering of people who knew what it was...play it [badly] then smash it to pieces on the 'stage' ala stereotypical rockstar

I'd love to be in a position to buy some of the instruments that were owned by people I listened to....

Ignoring the obvious like Philo's bass's, Rory's strat, I would love to own one of Paul Cleary's Telecasters. I have often thought of tracking him down and offering him cash for one.. He (and the Blades) were the reason I learn to play guitar back in the 80's and still play today. (in fact my son is called Jake not specifically after the Blades drummer Jake Rielly, but I heard the name first on him and always loved the sound of it).

    Hmm...

Tele Plus, Starcaster, vintage Jazzmasters, Jaguars and Mustangs, a few other Tele models (Custom, Deluxe, etc...) Prince's symbol guitar...

A few pedal boards (I'd have to spend a while populating them... Let's assume they're big, noisy... a few staples: Whammy I, MoogerFooger ring mod, phaser and delay, Fender spring reverb, Roland RE201 Space Echo, Alesis Bitrman, lots of the Dwarfcraft Devices pedals, EH POG and HOG, Boss DM2, DM3, RV3, tremolo/pan, Dimension, lots of feedback loops to put everything in...)

Vox AC30, Fender Twin- and Super- Reverbs, a big filthy Hiwatt...

    The fun stuff;

17-inch MacBook Pro with all the good **** maxed-out
    Max/MSP/Jitter
    Ableton Suite
    Logic Studio
    MOTU Traveler
Doepfer Pocket Fader / Kenton Control Freak - enough so I can have 88 sliders to play my slider piano with
    Behringer FCB 1010
    assorted MIDI keyboards
Projector for live video stuff via Jitter

    Moog Rogue
    MiniMoog
A big Analogue Systems RS Integrator, with French Connection keyboard
    A big Doepfer A-100
    An original Ondes Martenot
    Korg MS20
    Roland TR909, TR808, TR707 and TR606
    Elektron Machinedrum
    Korg Electribe

I could lock myself away for weeks and just use the rest of the money for getting pizza delivered to my room cave :D

    Unlimited money...eeemmmm let's see:D

First thing is I'd buy a house with no neighbours near by with a big garden. At the end of the garden I'd then build a self contained building with a big rehearsal space/studio and control room with a kitchen and toilets.

Then I'd fill it with all the stuff I've been drooling over for the last 20+ years.
Old Vox AC30, Fender Twin, Assorted Marshall's every pedal that catch's my eye and the same with guitars.......

    I'd buy John Petrucci.

I'd firstly build myself a top notch studio/ rehearsal space, fully kitted out with the following:

    Amps:
    Engl
    Divided by 13
    Orange
    Working Dog by Alessandro
    Marshall
    Soldano

Full set of MXR and Line6 effects

    Nice 4-piece kit by Gretsch/ OC/ DW/ Pearl

Ampeg Bass gear and some nice old Fender basses

    Then for guitars...

    PRS Custom Shop:
Hollowbody Singlecut (same shape as a Gibson ES-175)
    Custom 22 w/Floyd Rose
    Selection of other PRS...

    Collings:
    D2H
    OM2H Sunburst
    17" Jazz Archtop

    D'Angelico:
    New Yorker w/ Florentine Cutaway

Lifetime supply of Strings and Leads...

That would be nice... That said I wouldn't want it all at once as you wouldn't play them all... nicer to get one or two guitars a year for the rest of yur life :)

I'd start by going over to Billy Gibbon's gaff and buying everything he owns.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Gibbons#Musical_equipment.

You might associate him with spinning furry guitars, but I have a book that shows his cars and guitars and he has such an incredible collection of 50s and 60s guitars and amps it'd make your head spin!

When I'm done with the Reverend, I'd go and buy SRV's #1 and Rory's strat.

After that I'd probably just stay at home for a while with a big box of tissues...

i'd buy blackie from whoever owns it now and put a floyd cop on it,a gold one...

then i'd stand back and watch the TGP heads issue a blues-fatwah
    :D

Oooooh, that's evil - imagine using your unlimited money to buy every guitar of historical significance and then defacing them.

I'd put Floyd Roses in Lucille, Keef's Tele and Jimmy Page's Les Paul. I'd have one of Townsend's smashed guitars lovingly restored to showroom condition. I'd replace every one of Gilmour's guitars with mexican strats, I'd tune Kurt's guitars with a strobe tuner and I'd raise Yngwie's action to slide guitar proportions....

Maybe this deserves a thread of it's own. :p

I wouldn't even put original Floyds on them, but cheap licensed ones made in the Far East that never stay in tune.
