Ok here's the deal. I'm 23 years old and have never driven in my life. I have a provisional licence which i once bought intending on driving but never got round to it. The lincence is now expired.
I want to know how much I should spend on a beginners car and how much I will be expected to pay on insurance?
Also, how long should I wait before I apply for my driving test there after?
I live in a small town in the countryside, maybe that would make a difference to the cost of insurance?

Im 21, I started driving this year, i have a provisional aswel. I spent 2.5K on a focus(first car) and wait for it...€2365.50 for insurance:(
Theres plenty of bargains around, I'd recommend a fiesta or polo maybe 1.2 or 1.25 range. Good cars, cheap for insurance and very reliable.
