Really confused on this.I spent half an hour traipsing around trinity trying to find this thing. Went to both su shops the hamilton building and the physics building. Even checked with the person in the hamilton building about lectuers going on and she said she knew every one that was going on and there wasn't any physics ones or any physics soc she knew of. Physics building was closed.

I admit though it was about 5 past when i got to the first SU office and around 10/12 when i got to the second. Asked around both if any crowds or groups of people had been around.

    Text 1:
Hi all, first nite out for de physsocl lecture in trinity this friday on hamiltonian Time. meet outside SU hop at 7. if that's not for you...
    Text 2:
...we are meeting in messrs afterwards for free drinks BE THERE!!! ;D

Text 3: reminder about tonight, meeting outside SU shop 7pm to go to Trinity. if you're not going to lecture meetin in messrs at 10pm for FREE Drinks!

So you tell me? what SU shop is that? kevin st was empty. Didn't try Aungier St‎ at the time i just assumed it was Trinity. The thing i dont' quite understand is this: meeting outside SU shop 7pm to go to Trinity yet there are a number of DITs so which one?

When it said the SU shop, it was meant as the Kevin Street SU shop. The school of physics is in Kevin Street. They're hardly going to meet at Cathal Brugha street. :pac:
..when i got to the first SU office..

... and it meant the shop, not the office. The office is on the first floor, the shop is on the ground floor just as you walk in with the canteen on the right.

I know i kept saying office i actually meant shop. i went to both shops.

The su shop in kevin st is in the annex building which was for the most part closed down because i got kicked out of the building about quarter to 7.

... but there's only one SU shop in Kevin Street?

If you were late they'd probably left. I don't think they were expectin' many people to show up anyway. That lecture that you were told about is a lecture that the second year physics tech's have to go to as part of their course. They just thought they'd announce it, see if anyone else'd like to go. The rest of the society other than the second years probably weren't bothered so that's why you didn't see any crowds around.

(It's a physics society yeah but most of the members aren't really interested in any of the physics events as apposed to just going to the piss-ups and the yearly holiday.)

wait are you saying there's more then one su shop in kst?

Haha no, I'm saying there isn't. You said you went to both shops. I'm saying there's only one shop in Kevin Street. You said you got to the first SU shop at 5 past 7 in your original post but now you're sayin' you were kicked out of the building at a quarter to 7? Uhhh?

I text the person who sent the messages out and told him 'bout you and he wrote back...

"****ing bull**** we were waiting 'til 5 past 7 outside the shop.. and the building doesn't close until 10!"

Haha so.. uhh, I wasn't there anyway so I dunno.

The student union shop is on the ground floor of the annex building in Kevin st. beside the canteen, opposite the AIB office. It is the only shop called the Student's Union shop. The only other shop is the one in the Snackery, and that's called the Snackery.

I spent half an hour traipsing around trinity
I walked past the kevin st SU shop on my way out of the labs at about quarter to 7. made my way up to trinity su shop. Then to the other su shop on the far side. Then to the hamilton building then physics building
