    This is good. http://www.irishtimes.com/blogs/mechanicalturk/2009/10/14/what-would-you-do-to-make-the-irish-times-better/
I think all public sites should be doing it to see what the reader wants. So with regard to this, what do you want from your online newspaper?
    I'll start it off.
    - I'd to be able to have accounts on their sites for newsletters/competitions through the use of openid or facebook connect. So I never have to think of my login details....and yes...I do sign up to these things. I must get 10 newsletters a day from different sources.
I'd like to be able to set some preferences for my news. like a mynews page. where i'd see the sections i'm most interested in and could then go off surfing after I've read the important stuff(pretty much what I use google reader for)
    - I'd like to be able to comment on stories and read what other people are saying. Not have to post seperately on boards to see peoples opinions(although I'd probably do that as well since boards is where I get all my news)
    - More community stories, this could involve reader reporters.
    - More blogging on finance and peoples opinions/ideas/what they are doing. Its on boards that I found a comparison between flo gas, bord gas, airtricity and ESB.

OK thats all I've got for now! :)

It'd be good if they'd break some decent stories instead of rehashing press releases and rewriting stories that have already been out. It's terrible at the moment, only about two journalists doing anything of note.
