    Hi,

Just wondering approximately how much a new battery for a VW Golf would cost?

    Thanks :)

Totally depends on where you buy it from and the make. Your probably looking at €60 to €80 ballpark figures.

I was quoted 40 euros in Motor Factor for a 1.4 Golf today.
Just wondering if I need the Radio code before I disconnect the old battery?

No - you should be OK once you disconnect the battery with the keys removed from the ignition. The radio is matched to the ECU so once both are still the same you should be grand.
