    Two good albums, then content to recycle, with occasional flashes of what made them interesting. The split was probably inevitable, and hopefully some good, fresh music results from it, though more likely to come from Noel than Liam.

    Noel always struck me as witty, intelligent guy, a solid, if deritiative songwriter, whereas Liam had a good, swaggering voice he appears to have largely exhausted, and always came across as crass, unfunny and uninteresting.
