Ducketts Grove

We brought two classes out here today to see the place, amazed always by the no. of Carlow people who don't visit some of the fantastic sights and places locally.

Three sets of "tourists" arrived, all wondering if there was a café on site. I wonder if it would be financially viable.

PS The kids were up in the woods in Burton Hall too, another underused gem.

they had a fair out there recently on a sunday, it was great way to spend a sunday afternoon, maybe during the summer months they could have something there but i wouldnt think during the winter it would be viable

theres a christmas fair on there on the 12th and 13th of december. its a lovely place out there.

Or more specifically Ardristan Landscaping (YES I get to pimp my site ).

I did a bit of work there a while back and remember being told there would be a cafe and gift shop and that kind of thing opening in it, would be a great idea, even if just for the summer months
