ok, I'm sorry if anyone's asked this before.

    http://www.rte.ie/news/2009/1014/farrellr.html

It's like this, the establishment of the Catholic Church have been, and are actively covering up child sexual abuse by priests. They have been harbouring these rapists in the knowledge that they are at risk of re-offending. They have utilised top lawyers, accountants and politicians to limit their financial liability and transfer that liability to the tax payers of Ireland.

As a Catholic are you happy to have a portion of the taxes you pay for public services like schools, hospitals and emergency services to be deducted, and diverted to limit the liability of your church who have the resources to easily foot the bill and take responsability for the sins they say that they are sorry for?

The State shares liability, in that those in postiions of responsability ignored these crimes for a long time and didn't do their jobs and arrest these rapists.

I for one, did not rape any kids, and I resent having to pay for the crimes of others without having a say in the matter, when the criminals, the institution that protected the criminals and the elected members of the state who niglected their responsabilities all walk off scott free with fat wallets.

It is clear that the church is cool with child abuse, I imagine practising members of the church must be at least twice as upset as i am, but they don't seem to say anything?

As a practising Catholics, Are you cool with Priests riding your kids and then heanding you the bill for liabilities?

Is this topic discussed openly within your parish or is it off bounds?
