Just booked flights for IM CH and it appears that Aer Lingus only take 6 bikes per flight (with the full allocation now on that flight).

If you are thinking of travelling with your trusty steed next year, might be better to book sooner rather than later...

Aer Lingus don't know their own policies and it changes from day to day.

Basically on their old planes they only used to take 6 bikes. Bike boxes they can take as many as they feel like. Thats the problem though its as many as they feel like.

Must get my ass in gear and book austria flights and hotel.

Id also suggest calling their carriage office and booking the transport of your bike once you have a flight number. I did this recently for Challenge Barcelona. I also took the option of paying via credit card when booking both directions and getting a receipt. I didnt make a note of their number at the time but the number for reservations is 0818 365000.

A few of us are doing IM Switzerland and we're group booking DHL to send a few bikes over. Don't have the cost yet but am advised that it's not exorbitant. might be worth looking in to.
